(2) Clear Coat Spraying

  • Environment Control: The process is carried out in a dust-free spray booth. Temperature and humidity are controlled to prevent dust from falling onto the wet paint surface.

  • Clear Coat Preparation: According to the manufacturer's instructions, mix the clear coat main agent and curing agent in an accurate ratio. Add an appropriate amount of thinner to adjust to the proper spraying viscosity.

  • Spraying Operation: Adopt the "cross-spraying" method and apply multiple thin layers. Usually, a very thin "mist coat" is first sprayed to enhance adhesion, followed by 2-3 layers of solid-color coats. A proper flash-off time is allowed between each layer.

After the clear coat is fully cured (usually taking 24-72 hours), if there are tiny orange peel marks or dust spots on the surface, polishing can be done to achieve an extreme mirror effect.
